The Dominican Republic to reopen for overseas visitors in July 

After months of closed borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dominican Republic will reopen its doors for overseas visitors in July. 

 

Fourteen institutions representing 510 companies, all part of the tourism sector, presented their updated protocols to the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic. The revamped sanitary, operational and security measures intend to obtain the endorsement of both national and international organizations in order to resume operations.  

 

Big industry players like Casa de Campo Resort and the Punta Cana International Airport have already announced that they will start receiving visitors as soon as July 1st, while major airlines such as  American Airlines have set their reopening dates for the second week of July.
